Terms and Conditions

Dr Paviour has attended courses on medico-legal report writing for civil cases run by the British Medical Association and ProSols, a course endorsed by the Expert Witness Institute (EWI).

Dr Paviour has undertaken training in clinical negligence report writing and is happy to have a preliminary discussion regarding his suitability to take on a case.

Dr Paviour has undertaken Medico-legal report writing and Court Room Skills training with The Royal College of Physicians as well as with "Specialist Info" and most recently with Bond Solon.

Dr Paviour has had anonymised reports independently assessed by a leading Solicitor associated with The Faculty of Expert Witnesses for Doctors (the FEW).

He has considerable clinical experience in a broad range of general neurological disorders and sees approximately 1000 new and 1500 follow up patients in his clinical practice every year. This results in him seeing large numbers of patients with headache disorders, fits, faints and “funny turns”, weakness, numbness and involuntary movements.

This more than fulfils Lord Woolff’s concepts that only busy practising clinicians should be involved in providing an expert opinion and when advising about matters of poor care and medical negligence.

  • Fees charged

Fees are charged at £350 per hour and the time taken to complete the report may depend on the type and complexity of the case.

Fees may be quoted on a case by case basis by contacting Dr Paviour directly and arranging a preliminary discussion which will not be subject to a fee.

After a preliminary discussion, Dr Paviour will be able to confirm an approximate date that a completed report can be expected and the approximate number of hours that will be invoiced.
